Fayetteville is a typical black hole of a college town in the South. Where you'd expect the hippie head shops to be, there are bars. And where you'd think the used clothing stores would be, there are more bars, this time with more machines than a TCBY to make frozen drinks.
I would imagine that the home turf of Wal-Mart doesn't look kindly on used clothing, anyway.
The most impressive edifice was indeed the football stadium. One half of play was plenty for me, and I like football. The highlight is when the home fans "Call them Hogs"; the team name is the Razorbacks, and it involves shaking your hands in the air and yelling 'Hey pigs!". Head Coach Houston Nutt must be so proud.
